I fly at 4400' altitude, and the air is thin enough here that the needle is turned in about 1/2 turn from what it would be at sea level. Adjust it for around 180 degrees, or around 200 degrees once it's broken in. Depending on your altitude and weather conditions, you could be anywhere with your needle setting.
Where are you taking your temperature reading? You should be just at the bottom of the head, or around there anyway.ĭon't worry about the manual setting, that's just a suggestion to start with. My advice, fly the 30 its your cheap to fly heli, if you want to pound out some 3d, get some horse power, get a 50 sized heli. 05 not much, a little more room for a few drops of fuel. Your doing what the some of the guys do to our eloectric helis's hop them up and then sell them cause they do not perform the way they want. the 30 does not have the power to match the climb rates of the 50 heli either. The 30 will never have the power that the 50 has, now way no how. I have a Kyosho caliber 30 and a titan se 50, the only way I got the 30 to come closer to the 50 in roll rates is shorter blades 525 mm shorter flybatr by 1 inch on each side shorter, carbon paddles, and a tuned pipe, I fly 10% nitro, the only difference I see in the 30% nitro is the 10.00 cost.
